Thursday afternoon I went to Grandma's. Aunt Susie &co were coming in that evening and Danni and I were going to Eclipse. So we went to the movie and it's was actually better than the other two. It's not like that's saying much, but I liked it a lot better. It still had it's moments of fail, but I though that Edward was a lot less whiny this time around. So thumbs up for that. Of course I was sitting next to Uncle Jim who was whispering shit to me the whole time. "They need to end Bella," "Alice is so hot, who's that actress?" "Jasper is kick ass," "Is Edward gonna hit that?" Jimbo didn't understand why they didn't have sex, so I told him that Edward would lose control if he were excited like that..the look he gave me was priceless.

I slept at Grandma's because we were all hanging out the next day and we didn't get back from the movie until midnight.
Every year the boys in our family go to a Cubs game, and last year the girls started getting together. We had planned to go to the race track.
Here's the invite I emailed everyone:
Girls' day at Arlington (It's becominng tradition),
We'll look at the numbers to make our decision.
Betting on the horses, it will be fun.
A nice summer day out in the sun.
The women on the second of July,
We can only hope that no horses up and die.
Eleven o'clock so don't be late, please,
We'll be on that porch enjoying the breeze.
Go to the cafe' or bring your own snacks,
A day full of laughter at the track.
It that fell apart. It turns out that the races on Friday start at 3 instead of 12, so not everyone ended up going. Grandma was disappointed because she was looking forward to it, and AS was flat out mad. We did all go to lunch though, and it wasw fun. I like going to the track anyway, but I do think everyone should have gone. I understand at the same time though, because even though we had it planned for a long time, we thought it would be at 12. It was last minute that we all found out it started late.
OMG. Friday morning every met at Grandma's and some of us were on the porch and Dad asked me how the movie was. And UJ answered that Ashley Greene was so hot. And it wasn't weird that he knew her name because he asked me during the movie. But Amy was like, "Aren't these like 16 year old girls?" and "Wait, do you mean Dakota Fanning?" To which UJ very simply responds, "Oh no, she plays Jane." Robby, Jake, and I just looked at each other and lost it. Not only did he know who Jane is, but he knew who Dakota Fanning is!! That is awesome. I love that he knows that! And it didn't stop there he was talking about the movie all day!

After the track it was off to the fireworks. This is always a big thing with the family. Going early to stake out a spot big enough for all of us. I usually don't go. I mean, I like fireworks, it's the getting there 5 hours before the show. And when I was little and went every year, they had a rock band playing before the show, now they have an orchestra.
